How to transform yourself

08/01/2025

I have undergone many changes in my life. Most of them were desired and longed for. Some came suddenly, unintentionally. However, every internal change ultimately bore fruit. Thanks to this, today I accompany other people and companies through the transformative period of their existence. Now I will guide you too. For now, at least in broad terms here on the website, I will give my example.

Or, an opportunity arising from a crisis

Of my many situations, I will mention the one where my career as an athlete ended in 2012. One day, it was on New Year's Eve morning, despite my fatigue and my inner urge to rest, I told myself that I would finish that stretch of black slope in Austria. It was one of those "last words before..." moments. My cruciate ligaments in my knee couldn't take the fall and tore. They wrapped me up like a mummy, took me away in an ambulance, and sadly announced the results of the MRI.

For several months, I tried to walk it off with crutches, until it became clear that surgery was the only option. So I underwent cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery on my knee. And spent another few months on crutches. My skiing career was over, I missed out on registering for a half marathon, and even summer beach volleyball took place without me.

The journey always goes on

Several months of recovery and several years of searching

It really took a long time to get back into shape. Especially internally, why did this have to happen? I discovered other sports and types of exercise, cross-country skiing, freediving, yoga. But nothing was the same as before. Life went on. There were other moments, other crises, losing my job, once, twice, ending a long-term relationship, once, twice, other illnesses. In short, life. And everything led up to this day, when I am writing this article, and I tell myself that it really did make sense. Without all those falls and getting back up again, I wouldn't have become who I am and done what I do.

Nothing is impossible. Only opinions are impossible.

And so I started helping and guiding others. Thanks to my own crises and falls, thanks to my own search, I got an education and training in professional coaching, therapy, spiritual guidance, leading women's groups, men's guidance, psychosomatic integration, and many others. Today, I draw on all of this in my work with clients and groups. And I know that... none of this would have happened if I hadn't fallen on those skis back then...

So if you are going through something, whether it's something small or something much bigger and more serious, every situation is something that teaches us, and we often only see the meaning of it many years later. Hang in there, and if necessary, don't hesitate to ask for help wherever there are professional coaches or therapists. You don't have to do it alone; it's good to have someone to talk to who understands you. They won't do anything for you, but it will make things much easier.

And you know what they say:

In twenty years, you will regret more the things you didn't do than the things you did. So pull up the anchor and set sail from the safe harbor. May the trade winds fill your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. — Mark Twain

I would be happy to accompany you on your journey.

With respect and humility,
